My Darling, The show on Monday took from 10.30 till 8.15pm so I had no time to write. There was every sort of general and S2 omer touts there and I was vastly entertained with the whole thing. I thought I would have been angry but the prosecutions were so obviously not gentlemen that it at once explained their attitude and no one expected them to behave otherwise than the way they did. They all went back to their arm chairs and port at the base and the air is all the sweeter for their departure. I expect they will all get D.S.Os for having scored off a fellow who prefers to do his duty in the trenches to sitting on his bottom at base. John Dyer goes on leave today he promised to go and see you. Haig came up this way yesterday and told us we would probably go out for a month or two in 10 days time but no one knows. Darling you must be having a rather rotten time with all that fuss going on in the house and I'm certain it's not good for you; I wish we had taken a house before; I blame myself for it very much. I calculate I will get leave about Feb 20th; will you be able to go to Rossdhu then? We might have McArthur christened if it's not too late. I'm longing to see Rossdhu again. We were playing football against the sergeants to day but it is raining. I am getting up a boxing show for Friday. I got your letter last night they take about 2 and half days to get here. I suppose young McArthur will be kicking up a row now, isn't this the day he has his operation I hope it wont hurt him much. I had a nice letter from Dunlop yesterday asking that Herbert be christened at Luss. Darling you don't tell me how you feel or when you think you will be able to get up in your letters I hope the noise and fuss in the house isn't tiring you, you will be much better at Hyndford whenever you are able to move. I asked Mark to send me some haggises but I think he's forgotten. How is he? I haven't heard from Edward yet I expect he's pretty busy. Goodbye Darling I miss you awfully and long for you all day, all my love Sweetheart,
