My Darling, The show on Monday took from 10.30 till 8.15pm so I had no time to write. There was every sort of general and S2 omer touts there and I was vastly entertained with the whole thing. I thought I would have been angry but the prosecutions were so obviously not gentlemen that it at once explained their attitude and no one expected them to behave otherwise than the way they did. They all went back to their arm chairs and port at the base and the air is all the sweeter for their departure. I expect they will all get D.S.Os for having scored off a fellow who prefers to do his duty in the trenches to sitting on his bottom at base. John Dyer goes on leave today he promised to go and see you. Haig came up this way yesterday and told us we would probably go out for a month or two in 10 days time but no one knows.
