My Darling Di,
I haven't had a letter for 2 days, I expect the mail is wrong again, or have you been naughty? I met a Colonel Ashmont yesterday a flying man who knows Edward well and thinks a lot of him. Today is perfectly lovely just like Spring but I had to sit indoors all morning writing out a rotten scheme, it's rather maddening they've got a craze for it at the moment and we nothing but write.
Has John been to see you yet he said he was going to. D.T. has been in bed for a few days but otherwise very few have gone sick.
I hadn't time to go to church service this morning I will try and go tonight.
When is York coming out we hear no news of anything that is going on at all here but I think both sides are doing nothing. I like Raymond very much, he was awfully kind and took an awful lot of trouble and is delighted that it all came to nothing. Darling your letter has just arrived. You don't sound very cheerful I wish you could get up it would do you
so much good. You haven't told me anything about Herbert's operation, has he had it yet? I am getting awfully tired of this place and will be glad to get back to the trenches
again.
Sweetheart I long for you awfully it seems ages since I saw you last I wish my leave
would come quick what time do the bulbs come out at Rossdhu?
Goodbye Darling all my love to you and a little to Herbert,
